Y factor is born out of Denmark, a country with a high degree of trust amongst its citizens and openness towards alternative family planning. The Danish government, like in many other European countries, offers support for LGBTQ+ couples, heterosexual couples, and solo mothers by choice to conceive through donation. At Y factor we make donors a new controlling part of the matchmaking equation, giving them the right to choose to who, when, and how often they want to donate. Y factor believes that sperm donor requirements and laws have become too strict in 2025, and while made with good intent to protect both donors and recipients, these laws are limiting and take away decision-making power from our donors. With Y factor men can donate on their own terms.

We believe that a more personal approach to sperm donation is needed. Choosing the right donor can easily be one of the hardest choices future parents have faced in their lives up until that date.
